What started The Little Luxuries Chapter is we wanted more opportunities for women in Alaska to make new friends and do try things together. What started with a love for books has grown into a community bringing women together through fun events and genuine connections.

That’s part of why we started The Little Luxuries Chapter. We wanted a way to meet other women, have something fun on the calendar, and do more than say “we should hang out sometime.” You can come by yourself, bring a friend, be a big reader or not read at all. You’re welcome here.
So, what do we actually do?
Book club nights
We pick a book, get together, talk about it (and usually a hundred other things), and have a good time.
Girls’ nights & outings
Themed dinners, Pilates, craft nights, dress-up parties, and whatever fun idea we come up with next.
Real friendships
The best part is seeing girls come to one event and end up making plans together outside the group.

We started The Little Luxuries Chapter because we love planning things, meeting new people, and bringing girls together. And we figured we couldn’t be the only ones who wanted more of that in Anchorage.
Sometimes it’s book club at someone’s house. Sometimes it’s a whole themed event we probably got a little carried away planning. We also love finding ways to work with and support local women-owned businesses. Mostly, we just want everyone to have a good time and feel included.
